Salary: £70,000-73,000k + £450pm on-call allowance (Potential on-call earnings of £3k-5k per annum) + Bonus.(1-2 days per week in the office)
A prestigious international law firm with over a century of history is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join its Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will work alongside a Senior Network Engineer, balancing a mix of operational Business-As-Usual (BAU) and project work, with a 50/50 split. This role involves the design, implementation, management, and ongoing maintenance of network and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities of the Network Engineer
Design, implement, manage, and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco technology stacks and unified communications.
Support global network systems and appliances across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the United States.
Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, contributing to broader strategy.
Plan and implement network improvements, modifications, or replacements as needed.
Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to ensure the stability and reliability of services.
Technical Experience Required
Extensive knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies (Ethernet, OSPF, BGP, LACP, Trunking, VLANs, TCP/IP).
Experience with WAN technologies like MPLS, DIA, SDN, and SD-WAN.
Cisco experience: Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), Firepower Next Gen Firewall (NGFW), ISR Series routers.
Familiarity with network management tools like DNA and SolarWinds.
Strong understanding of ITIL-based support environments and internal and edge security standards.
Working Conditions
Core hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm, with a flexible early shift (8am-4pm), rotating every 4-5 weeks.
24/7 on-call Rota (rotates every 4-5 weeks).
Agile working environment with flexibility between remote and in-office work.
International travel may be required to regional offices and data centers for projects.
12 weeks' probation and notice periods.
