My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment and machinery in the automation sector, with them looking to take on a Mechanical Design Team Leader, on a permanent basis, in the Leicester area.
The Mechanical Design Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Industry experience working as a Mechanical Team Leader, Manager, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Previous experience of leading a team of 5 or more Engineers would be desirable
Having knowledge of 3D CAD – SolidWorks ideally, but other software may also be considered
Good organisational skills are required and good time management too
The ability to use Microsoft Office programmes
Excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenThe Mechanical Design Manager role will involve:
Leading a team of Mechanical Design Engineers
Working on a range of company projects
Producing mechanical engineering solutions and checking designs from the other Mechanical Design Engineers – working with SolidWorks
Taking projects from concept to completion
Working closely with other engineering colleagues
