Position:
Our client is currently seeking a Customs Coordinator to join their dedicated team. The Customs Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and compliant international transportation of Tobacco, Alcohol and other products for their valued clientele.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all international shipments comply with relevant customs regulations and documentation requirements.
Prepare and process customs documentation, including import and export declarations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Liaise with customs authorities, clients, and internal teams to resolve any customs-related issues and provide timely updates.
Stay abreast of changes in customs regulations and tariffs, ensuring the company's procedures are up-to-date and compliant.
Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy in customs documentation and adherence to established procedures.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns related to customs clearance and regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in customs coordination, preferably in the bonded warehousing sector.
Strong understanding of international customs regulations, import/export documentation, and procedures.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in processing customs documentation.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and authorities.
Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments.
Position Remuneration:
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 (depending on experience).
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.
