Here at ISS, as one of the UK's premier Facilities Management providers, we are now looking for a Technical Manager to join our client's Production facility in Southampton. The client are in the defence sector, and this site is one of their major UK complexes, consisting of an office block and production facility. The Engineering work has to be top level, because if production is shut off, this comes at great cost for the client
Here, you will lead the Engineering team to ensure planned and reactive maintenance across the site, you will also work closely with the client's in house engineering team and specialist sub contractors on niche maintenance works.
This is a fast paced and dynamic site belonging to a high profile client, and best suits a developing Engineering Manager, or strong supervisor, who can motivate a team, report to the client, and ensure compliance. There is excellent training and progression opportunities available
We do not require you to have worked on a similar Production facility before, training can be provided here
Actions will include:
To lead by example, motivating and engaging with the site engineering workforce .
To Monitor the Day to day Site performance against SLA’s and KPI’s in line with customer expectations and ensure Monthly Reports are collated and delivered to the customer reporting timelines.
Promote a strong safety culture across the site, with adherence to company processes for site induction, risk assessment, training, safe working practices, accident and near miss reporting and investigation.
Positively influence customer relationships to ensure regular contact is maintained and service delivery expectations are achieved / exceeded. Strengthen customer relationships through integrity and honesty.
Assist with the selection, recruitment and development of Engineering staff to develop a highly effective and energised operational team with succession plans for key positions.
Produce monthly Utilities data reports and other documents to meet internal and customer deadlines, and work with the site team and Energy Managers to reduce Energy usage and to positively move towards a carbon neutral position.
Ensure that CRM and other processes and systems are maintained for existing customers.
Assist with the collation of Finance data, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.
To administer the Semi-Comprehensive budget and provide a report for the site to the Account Director and customer Monthly showing all costs allocated to Asset repair or replacement in-line with the Commercial Risk Assessment mitigation process.
Work with the Project and operational teams to maintain a site 10year asset lifecycle plan, priority ranked by Condition x Criticality to show business criticality, and with updated costs, and submit updates annually to the Customer.

Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification
Some leadership experience within a supervisory or managerial role
