Client Setting : Residential Services (URGENT) Shift Pattern : 8am - 8pm/8pm - 8am Mandatory Requirements: PVG (DBS for Scotland), Moving assistance, First Aid, Adult Support Protection (known as Safeguarding) Agency Rate: £10-12 (depending upon profiles)

Responsibilities:

Provide essential support and care to individuals in healthcare settings.

Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.

Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, adhering to proper protocols and documentation.

Monitor and record vital signs, promptly reporting any abnormalities or concerns.

Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring adequate nutrition and hydration for individuals.

Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment.

Effectively communicate with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring clear understanding and coordination of care.

Supervise and support junior healthcare assistants, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting.

Relevant qualifications in health and social care, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

Demonstrated understanding of personal care tasks, medication administration, and healthcare protocols.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and connect with individuals and their families.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing the dignity, autonomy, and well-being of individuals.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
