The purpose of this role is to provide operational support and expertise for oral solid dose development, from post-first in human studies through to commercialisation.
The role will involve:
Complete formulation development for oral solid dosage forms, and aspects of physical testing associated with these activities would be desirable.
Conduct Design of Experiment work in line with formulation optimisation would be preferred.
Operate small scale equipment, to follow instructions closely and record observations will be expected.
Support physical characterisation of prepared formulation
Support scheduling and planning experimental work
Support data analysis of data generated (e.g. to compare formulations and look for trends in performance).
Qualifications:
Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Chemical engineering, Drug design and development, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field, ideally with aspects of pharmaceutical development).
A fundamental understanding of how to develop and manufacture a range of standard oral solid dosage formulations.
Foundational practical and relevant analytical skills are required.
Structured approach to investigating problems to resolution.
Ability to organise, Schedule and Plan work with efficiency and compliance.
Proven ability to comply with safety and compliance needs and work flexibly.
Excellent verbal and written skills, both internally and externally.
Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues driving collaboration.
Experience of delivering process improvement would be desirable.
