Mane Infrastructure are on the look for a Senior Electrical to work on behalf of our client who are leading M&E Engineering contractor who are carrying out major electrical installations and fit out within a new build energy from waste plant based in West Bromwich.
Conducting electrical engineering and design tasks in adherence to prevailing standards, emphasizing safety, maintainability, installation ease, sustainability, and environmental impact.
Performing electrical engineering system calculations and modeling utilizing suitable software programs, with thorough offline validation. This includes conducting studies such as short circuit analysis, protection coordination, harmonic analysis, arc flash studies, equipment sizing, and cable sizing.
Conducting comprehensive reviews of electrical designs to ensure compliance with current standards, buildability, and constructability.
Identifying and rectifying any weaknesses or errors that could compromise functionality, while consistently adhering to HSE best practices.
Ensuring that design risk assessments align with installation parameters and providing engineered solutions to address project challenges within client expectations and budgetary constraints.
Managing all design-related documentation, including registers, meeting minutes, and drawing registers, in accordance with project requirements.
Facilitating formal communication processes such as Requests for Information (RFIs), Technical Queries (TQs), Engineering Work Notifications (EWNs), and Material Approval Requests (MARs).
Collaborating closely with CAD teams to ensure accurate drawing modeling, adherence to BIM or other standards, and identifying and resolving clash detection and interface issues.
Developing scope documents for tenders and procurement processes and liaising with manufacturers to assess product suitability in coordination with procurement.
Participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Directly engaging with installation teams to validate design suitability, methodology, and address critical installation issues.
Working alongside the commercial department to monitor design changes and variances.
Coordinating with the planning department to schedule design, installation, and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities. Providing accurate assessments of forecasted work completion and recommending adjustments to maintain project schedules.
Supervising subcontractors/sub-consultants' activities, including supporting the commercial department in valuation and contract management.
Ensuring that designs and works comply with client quality management systems.
