A long established, family led, business based in Leeds, is seeking a talented and passionate Junior Software Engineer to join a small but skills team.
Our customer, that has a unique and interesting market position, is looking to move technology to front and center of its business operation, and going through a major programme of redeveloping and integrating all of their key business systems, ecommerce platform and website functionality.
The have the capacity and bandwidth to bring on a new developer, at the start or early part of their career.
If you have a knack for ASP.Net, C#, and SQL Server, along with an eagerness to learn and grow, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
What will you be doing?
As a Software Developer, you will work closely with other talented developers, contributing to the creation and maintenance of our cutting-edge software and web solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining web applications using ASP.Net, C#, and SQL Server
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Assisting in the design and implementation of software modules
Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards
Troubleshooting and resolving software defects
Participating in team discussions and contributing ideas to improve our software products
What skills do we need from you?
Strong knowledge of ASP.Net, C#, and SQL Server
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
A passion for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders
A passion and ability to learn and evolve your technical skills.
What is your background?
It is likely that to be successful in this role that:
You are based in or locally to Leeds and happy working regularly in an office.
You are a recent graduate with a relevant degree or have retrained in software engineering or have 1-2 years of commercial experience in a similar role.
