About the role
The role will involve a wide variety of duties such as finding/testing technical solutions; designing and coding the solution, while also supporting the test team and infrastructure team for go live.
As part of the Development team, the Software Engineers will work on many exciting new tech as we migrate to Azure and be part of a fun, relaxed and customer focussed team. Core to our business is a CRM system that we think is leading the Insurance Brokerage industry. It is based on PHP and MySQL, as the business grows the functions to support the CRM now require inquisitive, diligent and committed people to grow our team.
Essential Skills & Experience
Software development using the LEMP stack (PHP 7+)
Good understanding of OOP principles
Good knowledge of JavaScript
Test Driven Development / Unit testing
MVC frameworks (CakePHP / Laravel / Lumen) ideally a couple of years
Microservices architecture / Containers (Docker)
Version control systems GIT (Github / Gitlab)
Responsive design and mobile layouts
Working with medium to large datasets (Mysql / Redis)
