Operating across multiple branches in the UK, Crouch Waterfall is a forward thinking Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy. You will primarily be working on railway and nuclear infrastructure, on bridges and advanced temporary works designs and assessments, as well as a range of other areas. Established since 1981, the business has enjoyed steady growth driven by a committed and highly skilled workforce of 100 employees.
The Engineer role
As a Engineer, you’ll join the close-knit team within the welcoming and relaxed Leeds office, working with other Engineers and Technicians across a wide variety of schemes including bridges, structures and temporary works, within rail, nuclear and building sectors.
Your duties will include, although not be limited to:
Working within a team of Engineers and Technicians
Designing civil & structural schemes and checking designs prepared by others, including producing detailed calculations by hand and through computer models.
Carrying out inspections, site surveys and assessments of structures and preparing reports
Development of projects across civils, bridges, rail and complex temporary works
Liaising with clients to verify project scope and ensure deliverables
What will I receive in return?
As an Engineer, you would receive a salary in the region of £30,000 to £40,000 - salary level dependent on experience, plus a range of attractive benefits including:

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working 40 hours per week. There is flexibility with start and finish times available however, the core working hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm.
What will I need to be considered for this Engineer vacancy?
To be considered for this Civil Engineer role the following experience is preferable - qualifications, skills, knowledge and attributes;
Relevant Civil or Structural Engineering degree
Experience working on bridges, with a good adaptable engineering knowledge
Preferable experience within the rail or nuclear industry
Strong technical knowledge within assessment and design including inspections, calculations and analysis of existing structures and new-build design development
Client focused approach with effective interpersonal and communication skills
Full driving licence and own transport
Independent right to live and work in the UK
