I am working with a Civil Engineering contractor who are looking to add an experienced and self-dependent Bid Manager to their ever-growing business. With current live projects, projects at the ECI stage, and live tenders; they are looking for a leader to direct the work-winning team to secure future projects.
As the Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing the pre-construction team (a team of estimators, planners, bid writers, etc.), supporting them in tender strategy and overall work winning.
Your duties will be (but not limited to):
Resource allocation and management of the bid team with the relevant knowledge and skills to prepare a winning bid.
Follow the agreed bid management procedures and ensure they are implemented at each stage of the bid process.
Chair Bid Kick-off meetings, solution development and mid-bid meetings with internal and external parties.
Develop tender workload programme, communicate actions to the team, monitor progress, and final sign-off before submissions.
Attend feedback sessions with the client and coordinate tender queries and amendments.
Business Development integration.
Workload reporting to directors.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in bid management and quality writing/review.
Bidding experience on civil engineering and highways projects.
Business and market knowledge.
Ability to manage multiple bids in line with submission dates.
