Gibbs Hybrid are working alongside a world leading IT services contractor in their search for an experience Project Manager for a contract with a top UK financial services organisation. Ideally, they’re looking for someone with backlog creation and estimation expertise.
Day rate: £365 per day (inside)
Location: Glasgow – 2 days per week onsite
Duration: Initial 6 month contract
Delivery and Key Accountabilities
You will be accountable for all aspects of successful delivery into the business. This includes:
strategy and roadmap development
and resourcing development, and ongoing management therein
and management against programme delivery roadmap
a smooth and successful transition of new solutions into the business
aspects of change management (budget, cost, scope)
leadership around and compliance to all programme governance
quantification and mitigation of risks, issues and dependencies
and agreeing critical programme success factors, business outcomes and benefits
management
problem solving, operating in an agile and dynamic fashion in order to reach point of solution and deployment
leadership and direction to the team, and your stakeholders
and reporting of progress across the programme
project management skills and processes
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications/Preferred:
management qualifications preferrable
management professional bodies such as APM or PMI certifications preferred
with proven track record of project management with
and demonstrable expertise in supporting medium to large complex business and technical programmes of strategic significance
and strength in developing strategy to execution for complex programmes, with internal and external stakeholder management including senior leaders and change management for business users
analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, including experience presenting to senior level leadership
ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously, with attention to detail and quality of work in a high paced environment
to co-ordinate, manage competing priorities against stringent and demanding timelines
to manage upwards and downwards, can negotiate and solicit engagement at all levels of the organisation, and have solid experience of working with senior stakeholders (typically D, MD level)
