Description
The Assistant Accountant will be supporting the Finance team and be responsible for the day to day transactional accounting duties for the company:
Processing invoices, gaining authorisation for payment, payment runs via BACS
Supplier statement reconciliations
Allocation of cash
Banking of cheques
Reconciling bank statements and transactions
Petty cash
Expenses
Posting journals
Processing timesheets
Providing administrative support to the Accounting & Finance department
Involved in system implementations over the coming year
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
Previous experience in a transactional finance role, ideally with previous experience of accounts payable and bank reconciliations
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ideally studying AAT/ACCA
Able to commute into the office 3 days a week
Job Offer
Salary range of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
