This globally recognised leader of specialist capital equipment, is seeking an electrically biased Service engineer to join their team. You'll will be required to travel nationwide to install, commission and repair machinery. They have a strong network of service engineers across the UK, the business are able to provide the very best service to all of their customers.

Responsibilities for the Service Engineer include -
Nationwide travel to carry out installation & commissioning of special purpose machinery
Carry out breakdown maintenance repairs both electrically and mechanically
Routine service and inspection visits
Fault find on Siemens PLC's to test inputs and outputs, trace back faults and determine the cause of the issue
Providing end user support to customers as well as training and equipment demonstrations
Nationwide travel including overnight stays during installation projects
There is a robust training package which is largely based around job shadowing other engineers to learn the products, how they're built, but there will also be some occasional overseas travel to work on projects in Europe as they occur during the year.
To be successful in this position, we're looking for the following previous experience and skills - Previously a field service Engineer of capital equipment or heavy industry machinery- Hold a HNC or HNC electrical or electronic engineering - Have a solid understanding of PLC's and how to fault find- A strong knowledge of power supplies, controls and electrical test equipment is essential- Flexibility to travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays- Clean drivers license- UK passport for overseas travel when necessary
