A wonderful High School in Cardiff is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis starting in September. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education and a proven track record of inspiring students to love learning about the sciences.
Day-to-day of the role: Delivering engaging and dynamic science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5.
Preparing lesson plans and teaching materials that cater to a range of abilities.
Assessing and recording students’ progress and providing feedback to promote development.
Creating a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices.
Participating in school events and contributing to the school community.
Staying up-to-date with educational research and incorporating new methods into teaching practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications: A degree in Science or a related subject.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching science in a secondary school environment.
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
