Day-to-day of the role:
Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
Conduct the closing process monthly and ensure books are closed on time.
Review trial balances monthly and rectify any discrepancies.
Validate all transactions are properly approved, checked, and verified before posting.
Regularly proof, age, and analyse general ledger accounts and transactions.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and address any discrepancies.
Set up and maintain processes for timely collection of receivables.
Maintain adequate audit trails and digital records for all payments.
Respond to external auditors’ queries to ensure timely issuance of financial statements.
