We are currently looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Quality team based at our headquarters in Liverpool. This role will be reporting directly to the Senior Quality Manager and will interact with all departments across the business. The successful candidate will be joining a leading Masterbatch business at an exciting time of growth and expansion.
PACKAGE:
Hours: Monday – Friday
Salary: £43,000 - £49,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Liverpool, L33

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledgeable of quality standards such as ISO9001, ISO17025, IATF16949
Be a strategic, methodical, logical and detail-oriented person

Has superior mathematical and numerical skills, including the ability to interpret and analyse data and statistics
The ability to investigate, document, and maintain records accurately, along with being fully conversant with latest regulations and policies
Be extremely professional, friendly and authentic
Assist in effective & efficient quality processes for production, despatch and goods-in
Investigate and report on product non-conformances, ensuring root causes are identified, while working closely with operations to ensure that effective corrective and preventive measures are implemented
Excellent judgement skills and the ability to justify decisions using logic, data and experience
Ensure customer complaints are tracked, analysed, investigated and closed within set timescales
Assist in the coordination and planning of the quality laboratory, ensuring best practice procedures and methods are adopted, staff skills are developed and optimally utilised, and that appropriate equipment is available, maintained and calibrated
In conjunction with the Senior Quality Manager, ensure continuous improvement in minimising waste, reducing rework and optimising operational efficiencies
Help in the development of supplier quality systems and processes
EXPERIENCE
Qualifications/ education required:
HNC/HND or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, mathematics or engineering
ISO9001 & IATF 16949 auditor - lead auditor preferable
AIAG tools – APQP, MSA, PPAP, FMEA and SPC
Problem Solving experience with 8D, A3, PPS
Computer proficiency: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and MINITAB.
Six Sigma Green Belt
At least 5 years in a quality role, preferably in a processing or manufacturing industry
At least 2 years in a managerial role in an industry subjected to regulatory environment
