Financial Controller

Greenwell Gleeson are working with a fantastic fast growing SME business based in Walsall to assist them with the recruitment of an experienced Financial Controller.
The business is already well established and highly profitable and seeking to treble its turnover and profitability in the next three to five years.
Key to this role will be ensuring the provision of accurate timely management and financial information, incisive analysis to drive top-line, gross margin and bottom-line profitability and critically taking the lead on continually improving & ensuring exacting system and control processes.
Reporting into the Operations Director, responsibilities will include:
Producing and presenting the monthly management accounts
Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts on a regular basis for management review
Actively participate in the development and execution of the company's business plans
Cost centre analysis and reporting
Preparation of company budgets
Reporting and management of cashflow, including detailed forecasting
Analysis and reporting on performance
Preparation of annual stat accounts and audit liaison
Assisting with system improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support.
Developing controls and improved processes
Experience
Attention to detail, and an eye for opportunity in challenging costs.
Ability to make informed, data driven decisions.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
