Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a multi form entry primary school in Acocks Green who are currently looking for a SEND TA to start with them after May half term.
The school is part of an academy trust who truly embrace and celebrate the diverse communities that make up their inner-city schools. They have built their ethos of support, respect, listening and caring om an environment that is safe and equal for all.
This role is to support 1:1 with a boy in Year 3 in the morning who has ASD, non-verbal and can lash out with change of routine. This young boy is on a reduced timetable and is only in for the mornings and spends his time in the sensory room or playground. In the afternoon you will then go on to support as a general TA within the school where needed.
Due to the needs of the child in the morning it is essential you have experience of supporting high needs children and Team Teach or Restraint Training is desired but not essential.
