Job Description
The GIS Manager will be responsible for leading the GIS team and ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of geospatial data outputs for the hydrographic and land survey projects. This is a critical role in integrating GIS technology throughout the project lifecycle, from project planning to final map production.
The GIS Manager will specifically be responsible for:
Oversee all aspects of the GIS department, including staff management, project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Develop and implement a comprehensive GIS strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Lead the development and maintenance of spatial databases for hydrographic and land survey data, including bathymetry, seabed imagery, 3D point cloud data etc.
Utilize advanced GIS techniques, including 3D modelling and geospatial analysis, to enhance the interpretation of survey data.
Collaborate closely with hydrographic surveyors and data processing specialists to ensure seamless integration of GIS with survey operations.
