The role is hybrid, working mostly from home but with occasional visits to the office. Expected duration of contract will be 9 months starting in May 2024 for a one month handover period. Role is paying between £35,000 and £40,000 per annum depending on experience, which will pro-rata for the duration of the engagement.
JOB BRIEF
The role will be working within the Finance department, and you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the transactional finance function.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Reporting and Financial Management Ensure the accurate & timely preparation of monthly management reports.
Prepare month-end schedules and Journals for management accounts.
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review where applicable
Run the Annual Finance Calendar and timetable.
Providing an analytical review and commentary alongside management accounts.
Review and oversee the process of revenue recognition to ensure accuracy.
Preparation of Monthly Reports for Budget Holders/Business Units and addressing any questions
Budgeting and Forecasting Programming the quarterly forecast process.
Developing cost centre budgets and forecasts.
Assist with the forecasting and budgeting Processes.
Statutory Reporting Support the FD Ensuring all Accounting-related Statutory accounting requirements are met.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Accounts filing and distribution.
Treasury Cashflow projection and Analysis.
Controlling e-banking facilities
Ensuring interest and investment returns are maximised through diligent deposit management.
Team Management Team Management and training.
Manage day-to-day Finance operations/Ensure the smooth running of the transactional finance function.
Policy and Procedure Systems Responsible for the Creation of finance policy documents and updating procedure documents as processes evolve.
Work collaboratively with the Finance Director to Identify and drive process Improvements.
Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems.
Tax and VAT Prepare and review quarterly VAT Returns.
DESIRED SKILLS SET AND EXPERIENCE:
ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified with previous experience in Management Accounting.
Confident in using IT systems including Excel, and accounting software (preferably Xero).
Microsoft Office Suite (Including Dynamics 365)
