STORE OPERATIONS MANAGER, BOND ST, NEW STORE OPENING
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to work closely with the Store Director to drive operational excellence across our retail operations. This role ensures that all operational procedures are commercially managed to deliver the highest standard and efficiency of customer experience. The ideal candidate acts as a collaborative team player, working effectively with all team members and stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Excellence:
Ensure adherence to all operational policies and procedures by partnering with internal teams, and suggest local adaptations as needed.
Manage and optimize in-store operations and stock positions to ensure efficient processes and communication.
Lead the rollout and training for all applications and system updates to ensure team compliance and understanding.
Train, coach, and lead associates in executing operational tasks such as POS procedures, return processes, alterations, and maintaining safety and security standards.
Maintain and produce operational reports to ensure compliance with company policies.
Inventory Management:
Conduct regular cycle counts, identify inventory discrepancies, and manage resolution processes.
Ensure accuracy of merchandise and supply deliveries, verifying shipments match documentation and reporting discrepancies.
Manage the annual physical inventory process, ensuring shrinkage is within company standards.
Store Maintenance & Security:
Coordinate maintenance and repairs with external vendors and contractors, liaising with the appropriate teams as needed.
Maintain store security and ensure facilities comply with safety regulations and codes.
Team Leadership:
Drive the ongoing development of your team through regular coaching and monthly meetings.
PROFILE:
Demonstrates a strong work ethic, leadership capabilities, high energy, and a team-oriented approach.
Minimum of 5 years of retail operational experience.
Exceptional leadership skills with a knack for anticipating and solving problems.
Adaptable and effective communicator across various levels of an organization.
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Proactive, with a willingness to take initiative and lead beyond the immediate scope of responsibility.
Proficient with POS systems and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Maintains a polished and professional appearance.
Capable of remaining mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
