An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and visionary Principal at a vibrant and aspirational special school in, East Sussex. The school caters to children and young people with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, all of whom have an Education Health Care plan (EHCP). We are looking for a leader who is ambitious and committed to improving outcomes for all learners.
Day to Day of the role: Lead the school with a clear vision and ensure the highest possible standard of education for all pupils.
Work closely with the CEO, the Executive Leadership Team, and the School Senior Leadership Team to develop and strengthen the school’s work and reach.
Inspire and develop skilled staff, maintain a supportive and aspirational culture, and hold staff accountable.
Analyse and act upon data to maintain and continuously develop the highest quality of education.
Ensure rigorous safeguarding processes are in place for the safety and well-being of all pupils.
Drive initiatives to increase attendance and engagement among the hardest to reach pupils.
Oversee the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, enriched with outdoor and off-site activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven track record of outstanding teaching and leadership & management experience.
Comprehensive understanding of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
Resilience and a solution-focused approach.
High-level operational management skills.
Ability to inspire, influence, and work effectively within a Multi-Academy Trust.
