Position Overview: They are seeking a motivated and ambitious Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified or fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with experience working in a practice environment. Responsibilities:
Prepare year-end financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns for clients in accordance with tax regulations.
Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and provide advice on VAT-related matters.
Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to clients to improve their financial performance.
Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, tax legislation, and industry trends.
Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex accounting and tax issues.
Assist in the training and development of junior staff members.
Qualifications:
Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a practice environment is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of UK and tax regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
