To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

Significant experience of working with people especially Children and Young People with eating disorders, including specific theoretical and practical knowledge of working with this client group.

Relevant experience of working in a mental health setting within a multi-disciplinary team.

Experience of the assessment of the suitability of prospective clients for a recognised psychological therapy.

Experience of working in a specialist eating disorder service with CAMHS experience.

To have undertaken a recognised qualification and to be appropriately regulated in one of the core mental health professions EG, social work, psychology and occupational therapy, or substantial previous experience as an NHS psychotherapist

Role responsibilities:

To provide specialist psychological assessments to Children and Young People referred to the Coventry & Warwickshire Eating Disorder Pathway within the CAMHS Service.

To provide psychological interventions and therapy who meet ED pathway treatment criteria. This includes providing group-based psychoeducation for Children and Young People and their family/carers, group based psychological therapy using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy, and individual psychological therapies as appropriate.

To provide specialised psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals and carers, contributing directly to CYP formulations and intervention plans.

To support and contribute to the development of the Eating Disorders Services.

To support and advise other staff in their delivery of psychological care.

To utilise research skills for purposes of audit, policy, and service development.

To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of service policies and procedures.
