Are you ready to play a pivotal role in the heart of our client’s procurement operations? We're seeking a dynamic Procurement Assistant to join a leading supplier of goods and services. Your role will be crucial in supporting the team to efficiently and effectively manage their supply chain to ensure customer expectations are met/exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
Support: Collaborate with the team to cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
Expert: Liaise between suppliers and internal teams to manage stock levels and expectations effectively.
Champion: Track and report key metrics to optimise expenses and enhance effectiveness, while aligning with our environmental and sustainability goals.
Management: Update pricing on systems, ensuring profitability targets are met.
Management: Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure continuous supply to customers.
Facilitation: Expedite orders and finalise purchase details to meet delivery deadlines.
Support: Assist the sales team with special orders and maintain supplier lists.
Duties: Assist with general administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements:
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office, ERP system experience (ideally SAGE)
Knowledge: Understanding of procurement & sourcing techniques and metrics.
Skills: Excellent organisation and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
Deadline-Oriented: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
