Reports To: Group Operations Manager
Contract Type: Permanent
Annual salary : £45,000 - £50,000
Status and flexibility:
Full-time
Night shift from 22:00 to 08:00
The candidate must be available to work weekends
The candidate may be required to adjust the hours of work to cover the business needs
Must have:
The candidate must have a full, valid UK driving licence and be able to drive a company vehicle
Position overview & Summary:
The Night Area Manager is responsible for the overall cleaning operations in the front- of-house and back-of-house areas during the night shift at multiple locations. This includes supervising a team of cleaning operatives including supervisors and assistant supervisors, ensuring that all cleaning standards are met at world-class service, and dealing with any clients complaints.
The Night Area Manager will also be responsible for training and developing the team to ensure that the team members provide world-class service.
Responsibilities include, however, are not limited to:
Planning and organising the night cleaning operations . This includes developing cleaning schedules, assigning tasks to cleaning staff, and ensuring that all cleaning materials, consumables, and equipment are available, properly used and stored
Managing the cleaning staff . This includes inducting, training, leading, and supervising the teams at multiple locations, new starters, and existing operatives, as well as coaching and monitoring the team members performance and providing feedback
Ensure that world-class cleaning standards are met at multiple locations
Nurturing a professional and excellent relationship with the teams as well as the Clients , being responsive, transparent, proactive, and flexible
Conducting regular inspections of the cleaned areas with the Clients, identifying areas of improvement, concern, or complaint, and elaborating an action plan to promptly deal with issues
Ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and procedures.
Adhering to allocated budgets (in terms of cleaning materials and equipment orders, staffing requirements etc.)
What you need and what you will bring:
Valid UK driving licence
Ability to travel to multiple locations in Central London
Excellent written and verbal English
Experience in a 5-star environment
