The Role
The Health and Safety Advisor position is a key part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety and compliance. This role involves developing and implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across all levels of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Formulating and enforcing health and safety policies and procedures.
Conducted and reported on H&S audits in line with ISO standards, ensuring actions were completed and collaborating with audit providers and the leadership team for action evaluation and completion guidance.
Performing risk assessments and suggesting preventive measures.
Examining equipment and machinery for unsafe conditions.
Investigating accidents to identify causes and manage claims.
Advising on improvements or new prevention measures.
Reporting on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
Delivering health and safety training throughout the organisation.
About You
Relevant health and safety qualifications (NEBOSH General or equivalent).
Experience in a health and safety advisory role, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.
Knowledgeable about UK health and safety laws and practices.
Skilled in writing health and safety reports and policies.
Competent in data analysis and statistical reporting.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
