Duties/Responsibilities:
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and methods of manufactured components and finished goods. Maintain standard work instructions in relation to routing templates
Identifying opportunities for ‘flexibility/de-skilling of operations and value engineering of products work closely with management. Documentation/ logging of opportunities, costing justifications for priority and then make ready for tasking, change development, implementation and training support
Implementing new processes and methods supporting them with Standard Operating Process/ Methods (SOP’s). Providing training where necessary.
Establish testing/Inspection processes/procedures and use cost of quality reporting – rework/scrap/waste reporting by reason. Compile customer related issues that need ratification after final acceptance test, work closely with the quality/planning engineer.
