Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist looking to be part of a supportive team environment? Join our established medical team in Exeter and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with enduring mental health issues.
We offer a 32-bed inpatient service with a team of experienced professionals. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide care for up to 16 patients. Your responsibilities will include managing complex cases, developing care plans, and ensuring evidence-based treatment.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with care coordinators, managing Mental Health Act implementation, and maintaining professional registration. You will also provide on-call coverage and support your medical colleagues when needed.
To be successful, you will need:
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Full GMC registration with licence to practice
MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
To hold Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved clinician status
Experience in General Adult settings and have experience of working in a multi disciplinary team.
Experience of working within acute inpatient or community settings, ideally inpatient settings and have experience in risk assessment and risk management.
