Finance Manager

A newly-created opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-respected commercial company in their offices west of Reading. Leading and managing a team of 5, this role is pivotal in continuing to drive and streamline financial operations within the company. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive and a strong communicator in this varied and rewarding role. Hybrid work pattern offered.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing preparation of monthly management accounts
Manage a team of 5 people
Authorizing claims and supplier payments
Monitoring cash flow
Ensuring compliance with finance-related policies
Evaluating development costs and capital expenditure
Overseeing credit control
Managing purchase order system for IT expenditure
Managing insurance funds
Liaising with underwriters
Handling FCA submissions
Preparing and filing VAT returns
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant - ACCA, CIMA ideal
Proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting
Prior experience with Sage or similar accounting software desirable
Accuracy and strong attention to detail
Must have managed a small finance team in a commercial SME
