Job Purpose Install, Maintain, Repair & Service Security systems on behalf of the company throughout the United Kingdom as directed by the Operations Director or his subordinates. The engineer will use experience, Skills, training, and best endeavours to carry-out the work required efficiently whilst maintaining excellent health & safety standards. The role demands a high level of interpersonal & communication skills dealing with clients and other interested parties as well as technical ability & IT literacy. The role holder MUST have a valid driving licence throughout the term of employment.Be confident to assist with Fire service calls, attending calls to support customer as needed, working with Fire tech support who may not be local to the call. Key responsibilities and accountabilities ? Install, Commission, Test and maintain a variety of systems and equipment under contract to the company.? When call upon to work with subcontractors take a lead as the company employee to ensure the work being undertaken are to the standard expected of an ISO 9001 quality assured provider.? Maintain a minimum level of Heath & Safety training including Asbestos Awareness, Ipaf & ECS and other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the company.? Seek opportunities to increase the profitability of the company by gaining additional work through communication with clients, observation of system weaknesses, potential areas of poor protection or cover and 'end of life' equipment.? Complete appropriate online documentation immediately after the works have been completed and obtain a client signature to prove works completed satisfactorily.? Manage and maintain company plant, PPE, equipment and stock levels within the vehicle. Report any damage or shortages to the office to enable replacements to be arranged as necessary.?
