Mane energy are working with a leading EPC company who are looking for an Instrument Technician to join them on a fixed term basis.
Duration:12 Month Contract
Location: Aberdeen
Rotation 3 on 4 off
Pay: Salary (TBD)
Duties:
Actively support a working environment based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrity.
Participate as a member of the Instrument Supervisor’s team in delivering performance against targets
Build effective working relationships with other departments and shifts.
Maintains emergency shutdown equipment.
Responsible for completing verification assurance and maintenance routines and maintaining quality records.
Carries out fault finding and repairs on communications, control and instrument systems, whist observing and complies with safety rules and regulations, including the permit to work system.
Act as nominated person responsible for small bore tubings and fittings (RTP) as directed.
Provides a source of technical expertise to operate, fault find and maintain the process control systems, ensuring that all planned maintenance is completed on the equipment for which they are responsible.
Experience:
3 Years experience in a similar role
Relevant offshore certificates.
S/NVQ Process Engineering Maintenance (Instrument and Control) Level 3 or equivalent
Detailed knowledge of instrument maintenance practices applicable to offshore oil and gas assets, associated technical standards and relevant legislation.
Experience of maintenance scheduling, organising, coordinating and controlling/monitoring work.
Experience in the administration, control and use of “Safe Systems of Work” (PTW) including permit to work procedures.
Ability to conduct fault finding, installation, isolation and re-instatement on communications, control and instrument systems.
Experience in gas compression.
Knowledge of fire and gas detection, ESD systems and small-bore tubing maintenance and inspection.
