Job Purpose:
Jackson Hogg is recruiting on behalf of an expanding construction company that has multiple exciting projects across the UK. They are looking for a Senior Site Manager that has experience working on large million-pound construction projects. This is to ensure the project is managed in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and constructed in accordance with the contractual requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise and managing all works on site
Ensure all H&S policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
To co-ordinate and supervise all workers on site including subcontractors and site labour
Organise/review the project progress and provide progress reports to management
Liaise with subcontractors and consultants etc. to ensure site is adequately resourced
Carry out weekly subcontract meetings and prepare site reports for management
Liaise with the design team for construction matters and procurement team regarding material procurement
Liaise with the client to ensure expectations are being met whilst ensuring quality is maintained throughout the project
Carry out toolbox talks as and when required
Resolve day to day issues in a timely & efficient manner to ensure programme is maintained
Communicate with the commercial and operational team to advise of progress and changes
Adopt a Continuous Improvement approach to processes and practices
Contribute towards an overall company culture of sharing information and knowledge where there is a focus on solving issues as a team within a 'can-do’ attitude and removing barriers to success
Must be prepared to travel around the UK and be away Monday to Friday for future projects.
Experience/Skills Required:
Proven experience in managing and delivering high rise construction projects valuing £30m or above
Experience of working in a Construction/Fit Out company and managing construction site teams
Excellent IT skills especially Microsoft Office
Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders
Extensive knowledge of construction practices used on site to analyse, design and propose cost saving measures
Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation for the Construction industry
Attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment
A proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations and duties
Continually seeking ways to improve, adapt and innovate while meeting compliance and commercial requirements
Hold a CSR card and hold relevant certificates such as First Aid
