Stourport-on-Severn

Job Title: Key Account Manager

Location: Field-based (Some national travel) and Stourport office based

Job Purpose:

Manage a portfolio of 30 upper-tier accounts, preventing erosion, and driving growth through strategic development and cross-selling. Occasional travel may be required.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute a business plan aligned with organisational goals.

Contract Management:

Renegotiate lapsed contracts and establish new agreements.

Strategic Development:

Implement strategies with the After Sales Manager for new services and products.

Account Reviews and Projects:

Conduct strategic reviews for growth and profitability.

Manage project delivery within agreed timelines.

Communication and Negotiation:

Utilise effective presentation, negotiation, and influence skills.

Address client concerns and manage escalated calls.

Compliance and Database Management:

Assist with compliance activities, such as supplier waste audits.

Oversee key accounts to optimise contract revenue.

Reporting and Targets:

Provide regular reports to the manager on sales activities and key client advancements.

Achieve individual quarterly sales targets.

Client Satisfaction and Collaboration:

Understand clients’ needs and propose solutions aligned with their goals.

Monitor service delivery to ensure consistency with contractual obligations.
