Job Description
At the forefront of the Nando’s restaurant experience, the Restaurant Implementation Coordinator is a vital bridge between the Tech Team and Property Team. Supporting the continued growth of Nando’s restaurants, we are looking to recruit a Restaurant Implementation Coordinator to keep up with the high demand in the business for New Openings & Refurbs. This role will involve extensive travel to Nando’s sites up and down the country, including Northern Ireland and ROI.
Overall purpose of the role:
Encompassing both tech expertise and project management skills. Planning, scheduling, and management of Tech and Tech-related projects. The candidate must possess both technical knowledge and the capability to manage demanding projects, have excellent organization, problem solving and communication skills.
The Restaurant Implementation Coordinator will provide technical support and planned management to projects as New Openings, capacity expansion and refurbs of Nando’s restaurants, along with any other projects that the Tech Team may rollout where support and management skills are needed.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
Project manage the ‘end to end’ delivery of all Tech elements of the new restaurant implementation process for new restaurants in line with the new restaurant implementation schedule. This includes initial site survey to handover and into live operational support and post implementation review
Manage the effective ‘end to end’ delivery of the entire Tech solution for all Tech restaurant refurbishments into live operational service in line with ongoing schedules
Responsible for effective communication throughout the implementation process with all key internal stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers, ensuring all status and progress updates are on time and available
Responsible for the creation and on-going management of the restaurant project roadmap, used as the basis for the progress checkpoint meetings and distributed to stakeholders weekly for review
Responsible for ensuring the Tech checklist is completed, accepted, and signed off by the restaurant Patrao upon handover from project to completion, by the project team
Train and mentor other Service desk team members in the new restaurant implementation process
Responsible for attending the initial site survey meeting, working closely with the Property Team and with the Project Manager to define and agree the scope and schedule of all works.
Responsible for co-ordinating the ordering and implementation of all cabling works, Till and EPOS systems, PDQ’s, HW, Networking equipment, software, Purchase orders and accounts setup
Effectively manage the new restaurant / refurbishments schedule, holding regular checkpoint meetings at key milestone stages with business stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers to cover progress updates, issues and risks and outstanding activities.
Responsible for the on-going accuracy of the various process documents, aiming to maintain accuracy of the process and act as a guide for other team members who may be deputising in the role
Responsible for attending the restaurant handover to OPS day to ensure any issues are successfully managed, the restaurant is fully operational and provide additional assistance and support to the restaurant as required
Responsible for ensuring restaurant site layout plans and implementation photos are captured along with any documentation such as checklist, sign off, post implementation review and stored appropriately for future reference
Responsible for the creation of a ‘snagging list’ for any potential post implementation issues and ensure these are successfully resolved in conjunction with Nando’s Tech dept and 3rd party suppliers

3rd Party Suppliers (Gamma/NCR /Worldpay/BMC/BO)
The candidate should possess / be:
· Experienced in Senior Service Desk or Senior Technician role and or also with experience in Project Management
· Have experience working with a budget/cost centre
· Familiar with typical Windows Desktop, Office 365, Active Directory & Exchange servers with the ability to install software and provide remote user and site support
· Strong organisational skills that enable multiple tasks to be prioritised and handled simultaneously in a fast pace, high pressure environment
· Keen eye for detail, proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Motivated to understand Nando’s business goals and how to align support accordingly
· Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business, ensuring the understanding of non-technical staff
· The role consists of a 5 days a week, Monday to Friday - 8am till 4:30pm or 9am till 5:30pm. Bank holidays are considered as days off. The daily 7.5h working hours can vary in accordance with site visits, in case of extended working hours, these ones will be taken back when possible. This role involves extensive travel throughout the UK
