Harrington Starr are seeking a senior level Head of IT Governance to work for a global FS organisation. This role will play a key role in driving all regulatory compliance providing SME services to the business. The role reports in to the CTO, and requires senior level stakeholder management across the business, and with external regulatory bodies and third-party suppliers. The key focus of the role is taking an ownership of the SOX implementation, but will also include elements of business resilience, service management and strategic planning with SMEs in these areas reporting in to this person.
Key deliverables will include:
• Support the evolution of controls to a SOX based framework - this is a crucial element of the role. You will be responsible for taking overall ownership of the SOX controls working closely with auditors and the Head of Technology Risk
Managing technology deliverables within a heavily regulated environment
• Managing stakeholders across COO, CRO, Operational Risk, Audit and Compliance.
• Management of the Business Resilience team, ensuring that the organisations Business Continuity, Operational Resilience and DORA obligations are met.
• Delivering against Supplier Management frameworks (in a regulated environment)
• Taking ownership of all Quality Management Systems (ISO27001 based)
• Management of the Technology Management function, covering Finance, People, Strategic delivery and alignment to Project delivery methodologies
• Oversight and support for all internal and external audits
• Ownership of all third party supplier management
• Ensuring adherence to ITIL frameworks
In order to be considered you will need:
Strong knowledge of SOX 404 IT controls implementation and experience of having worked in a pre and post SOX environment. Ideally you will also have an understanding of the intricacies of US listed businesses
A proven track record in a similar role within a global financial services or global financial technology business
Knowledge of DORA, and ISO27001 frameworks
Demonstrable stakeholder management up to C level
Experience of working with a wide number of functions including information security, group risk, procurement and technical teams/ leadership
Strong knowledge of business resilience (desirable)
Experience of leading internal and external audits
