Role Overview:
Support the implementation of Flexcube and other ancillary applications, and software interfaces.
Role Responsibilities:
Carry out Unit Testing, Integrate / Deploy units into intermediate environments and support the Testing cycles progressively as per specifications/requirements within planned schedule.
Fix defects found during unit testing, system integration testing and acceptance testing.
Use defined Standards/Tools/Processes/Change-Control-Steps and document all work to achieve deliverable that meet Quality/Audit/Compliance expectations of Oracle/Client.
Coordinate with Offshore Development and/or Support teams for various technical deliverables including Customization Deliveries, Patch-sets, fixes etc.
Resolving base product issues by coordinating with Oracle Global Support team.
Analysing and providing L1/L2 production support covering both technical and functional domains of ORACLE FLEXCUBE Core Banking suite of products. Step-in and help resolve production incidents and to prepare and provide Status reports to Management.
Provide On-Call support during non-business hours.
Provide user support for any Flexcube queries- functional / technical and data patching for base product/customisation issues.
Work closely with the Infrastructure and Database support teams to ensure that core-banking environment is fully secured and optimized for high performance.
Support End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-day (BOD) batch operations including rates and limits uploads when required.
Follow-up with users and vendors on service requests and problem tickets including face-to-face, email and phone support calls.
Developing and redesigning reports (BI) as per business requirements
Any other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of department.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Hands-on Development, Implementation, and production support experience with the Core Banking Oracle Flexcube UBS/ Oracle Banking Products, mainly Versions 14.x.
Both back-end and front-end customizations, using java script, RAD Tool, PL/SQL, and Java.
Sound Oracle DB, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Java, SOA, JavaScript, XML, basic Unix shell scripting and Oracle tech skills.
Hands on DB Backup/Restore Operations and Source Control tools experience.
Experience on development and implementation of Interfaces, Batch operations, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues encountered in Testing cycles, Payment systems and SWIFT/SEPA.
Must have functional knowledge of main Flexcube modules like: Core, CASA (Current Accounts and savings), Data Entry (DE), OBPM (Oracle Banking Payments), Interest and Charges (IC), Enterprise Limits and Collateral Management (ELCM), Loans, OBTF, etc.
Experience on development and implementation of Interfaces, and Batch operations
Strong exposure to BI universes, Dashboard and Web Intelligence tools with ability to develop and support complex reports.
Working knowledge of Oracle Database, development tools, WebLogic server deployments.
Highly developed, process-oriented skills for troubleshooting, problem solving, and problem resolution with ability to perform root cause analysis.
Able to determine priority and urgency of support issues and set priorities accordingly.
Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Analytical thinker and good problem solver
Able to work with little or no supervision, even out-of-hours
This is a 12 Month FTC position paying up to £100,000 based on experience.
