Michael Page Finance are retained by a growing £2.5m turnover SME in the Residential Audio/Visual industry. Established 7 years ago, the business delivers high-end, high-tech audio/visual solutions within the residential sector. Utilising the best lighting, audio and visual technology products to deliver projects for their customers across the UK and Internationally.
The leadership team have over 25 years' experience within the sector and have grown organically since inception. The business is in a period of growth as they continue to establish their offering, service and delivery across the UK. Due to the growth they are looking to recruit a newly created Financial Controller position.
Description
The Financial Controller will be responsible for:
Managing company cashflow and budgets
Preparing monthly financial reports, performing account reconciliations & maintaining the general ledger
Prepare and reconcile all bank accounts resolving any discrepancies
Assist with the production of monthly and quarterly management accounts
Prepare and analyse account reconciliations
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
Assisting with annual reviews/audit preparation
Assist with completing all HMRC filings and returns
Defining /Implementing /strengthening processes and controls to improve reporting and accounting accuracy
Profile
The successful Financial Controller should have:
Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
Hands on end-to-end finance experience within an SME environment
Able to work independently/remotely
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Xero systems experience
Project, Construction, design or related industry experience would be advantageous
