Project Accountant

We are seeking a project accountant to play a pivotal role in the delivery of financial support. This role involves working closely with the organisations hierarchy and requires a candidate who can understand and present complex financial and non-financial information.
Day to Day of the role:
Providing financial support and input for key organisational initiatives, such as pay and grading work in CRM software implementation
Actively participating within delivery teams, presenting complex financial and non-financial information to staff and senior managers
Work to an agreed agenda with defined objectives
Responding to queries and investigate concerns within an agreed timescale
Leading key work streams within the Financial Management Improvement Programme
Collaborating with finance colleagues and stakeholders to review and develop financial management policies and procedures
Supporting the development of business cases for capital and revenue investment, considering all financial aspects and identifying risks
Providing guidance on budgeting, contracting matters, and the efficient use of resources
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in financial project management or a similar role.
Ability to assimilate, interpret, and present complex financial information
Experience in developing and delivering financial policies and procedures
Strong collaboration skills to work with stakeholders across the organisation
Knowledge of financial systems and the ability to provide financial competency training to non-finance staff
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work within tight deadlines
