We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join the team at their new, exciting luxury hotel and spa opening early 2024 in Northamptonshire.
As the Senior Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful operation of our culinary department and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Responsibilities :
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and production.
Collaborate with the HeadChef in developing innovative and creative menus that meet the highest standards of quality and taste.
Supervise and train a team of chefs, ensuring their skills are developed and maintained to deliver consistent high-quality dishes.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and wastage to ensure effective cost management without compromising on quality.
Implement standard operating procedures for food preparation, presentation, and service to maintain consistency across all outlets.
Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional growth among kitchen staff.
Stay updated with industry trends, new cooking techniques, and emerging ingredients to continuously enhance the culinary offerings.
Requirements :
Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant setting.
Extensive knowledge of various cuisines with an emphasis on international flavors and modern cooking techniques.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
Attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, and garnishing to ensure visually appealing dishes.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations while maintaining composure and delivering high-quality results.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
