Academics, Canterbury are currently recruiting for confident reliable graduates for flexible temporary work as cover supervisors in secondary schools on the Isle of Sheppey and surrounding areas.
The Role - School Cover Supervisor
Working hours vary (usually 6 ½ hours per day), but you'll need to be available between the core hours of 8.00am to 3.30pm
The role will include:
Taking the lead in the absence of the teacher
Sole responsibility for teaching and learning
Delivering pre-planned lessons
Using provided resources to encourage learning
Managing the behaviour within the classroom
Developing independent study skills and peer learning
Pastoral and learning support
Managing handover back to the teacher
Experience of teaching or covering Maths or English would be beneficial
