The Candidate
You will have 5 years plus experience within fermentation and microbiology
Experience scaling up bioprocesses to large volumes (from 200 Litre bioreactor upwards)
You will hold a relevant Degree, MSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Technology or similar
Possess team leadership experience and a track record of managing scientists or technical R&D staff
You will hold a strong commercial understanding of scaling up and launching new products, ideally within the food industry, as well as exposure to setting up and supervising a manufacturing facility
The drive to work in a fast-paced start up, with motivation to grow the business and be a key part of its future success
A passion for food, in particular the plant-based industry and sustainability would be highly advantageous
