Job description
Freeway Recruitment are acting on behalf of our client who are currently recruiting for a CNC Saw Operative and router for a role in their operation on a permanent basis.
Duties:
- Operate saw equipment to cut Plastic materials according to specifications
- Set up and adjust saw blades, guides, and stops for accurate cuts
- Inspect materials for defects or imperfections before cutting
- Monitor the operation of the saw to ensure smooth and efficient cutting
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with other tasks as needed.
You will also be trained up and certified to operate A fork lift truck by the company as part of the role.
Pay - 12.00 per hour
Once you complete temp period you will see an increase to 12.92 per hour. Once transferring period over to Perm you will be given company annual profit shares
Working week - Monday to Friday ( No weekends)
Working times- Monday to Thursday - 09:00 am to 6.30 pm Friday 8.00 am to 5.30pm
Full shut down for Christmas.
25 holidays per year plus bank holidays after qualifying period.
Requirements:
- Experience operating CNC saw and routing equipment, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
A qualification or relevant experience operating a cnc plastic saw
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on saw equipment
- Ability to grind and sharpen saw blades as needed
