Product & Fitting Specialist – East Midlands

To provide “World Class” fitting days and product training which will enhance and promote Callaway Golf’s market share and brand position. The Fitting Technician must conduct themselves as an ambassador for the Callaway Golf brands and deliver the highest standards of customer service to our account base and consumers alike.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To conduct fitting days of the highest calibre in the East Midlands - communicating with the retailer prior to the event, confirming delivery and display of POS materials, confirming time and date of demo, conducting product training for retail staff two hours before the event, confirming the sales incentives (if any) that will apply on the day (subject to ASM approval) and confirming Head Pro participation. Custom fit customers to the highest industry standards using tools provided, ensure consumer satisfaction and provide the highest level of customer service always going the extra mile. Comfortable proactively closing the consumer sale gaining purchase commitment.
To conduct “World Class” retailer training. The objective is to enable the retailer to communicate Callaway products and technologies clearly and effectively resulting in increased sales.
To impart expert product knowledge (including features, benefits and points of differentiation) tailoring communication style to the audience.
To provide “expert” custom fitting across all Callaway fitting systems.
To present effectively and professionally to small and large audiences of customers and consumers.
Display a high level of administrative care especially over the booking of custom fitting/training days, distribution of fitting day marketing material and potential issues resulting from cancellations. The representative must liaise with the UK Custom Fit Manager without delay on any issues that arise.
To provide detailed weekly reporting - including fitting activity, training schedule, market feedback and other comments relating to retail and competitor activity.
To manage a full stock of Callaway demo products in a clean and orderly manner – ensuring any stolen or damaged products are communicated immediately.
To account for the demo stock at the end of every quarter.
To develop productive working relationships with the relevant ASM’s and Inside Sales and Customer Service representatives.
Attendance at trade shows, sales meetings plus various marketing and occasional Tour led events
Ad hoc projects or duties as required
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
2-3 years previous custom fitting/sales experience ideally PGA qualified
Professional and courteous with a passion for service
High energy, positive, proactive, goal oriented and confident self-starter
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Team player with proven diplomatic, influencing and customer facing skills
Strong planning and organisational skills, able to prioritise with good attention to detail
Intermediate computer skills including Excel, Word & Outlook
Previous knowledge of Foresight GCQuad an advantage
Full drivers licence (with no more than 3 points)
To live in the East Midlands, ideally based in the Nottingham/Sheffield area (or willing to relocate to this area)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Long periods of standing, driving, moving of heavy bags and Custom Fit equipment.
Regular use of Computers, iPad’s and mobile phones
Overnight stays and possible overseas travel
