Our Client based in Merseyside, a new start-up, is searching for a Commercial Finance Business Partner/Commercial Finance Manager to be part of their exciting journey and continued growth. Would be perfect for someone who is looking for that next step up in their career. The successful individual will be working within the sales teams and part of the leadership team, looking at pricing and promotional strategies, new business in the UK & International markets
Reporting to the Financial Director with a dotted line to the CEO.
Key duties will include:
Responsible for the day-to-day financial aspects of a growing SME consumer retail business.
Full production of the month-end management accounts to P&L with commentary to the director
Management of both Retail and E-Commerce revenue streams
Ensuring the accuracy and data integrity of Financial Ledgers at all times
Responsible for budgets and quarterly forecasting including liaison with all key stakeholders
Working with the wider business to provide strategic support on pricing and costing across the business, including listing promotions across multiple markets and territories
Manage relationships with external suppliers
Manage the banking relationship, including funding, plus day-to-day business banking transactions
Cash flow management and forecasting
Ad-hoc finance tasks as required
Skills/Experience
CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified, or equivalent experience
Experienced Consumer or Retail accounting experience, including knowledge of product listings both in-store and via e-commerce
Strong commercial background, demonstrating the ability to support and influence decision-making
Production of monthly management accounts and reviewing/presenting a Board Deck
Preparing budgets and forecasts with all key stakeholders, and variance analysis against the targets
Strong systems knowledge, ideally in the implementation of a system in a similar business
Can demonstrate a history of cash management, including owning a banking relationship to include potential funding options
Salary/Benefits
£45,000 to £60,000 per annum (possible up to £65k dependent on experience)
