Interim Financial Controller - South Birmingham - £500/£550 per day outside IR35
I have an immediate requirement for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a newly acquired, small business in South Birmingham. The role involves standing up and aligning the finance function of the acquired business with the parent company's standards in P&L, balance sheet, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and optimize financial processes and reporting systems in line with the parent company's requirements.
Work closely with the Group Controller and senior stakeholders to align financial strategies and reporting standards.
Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for business improvements and provide management information to the parent company.
Oversee the implementation of financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Requirements:
Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Proven experience within a similar role, preferably within an acquisition or integration setting.
Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and financial reporting principles.
Demonstrable Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines.
