Location: Tamworth
£35000-£40000 with pension, life cover, healthcare, EAP and on site parking
A mechanically biased engineer is needed to drive a production process towards a zero defects status. You must be an exceptional problems solver and adept engineer. Exceptional prospect within a life critical manufacturing sector.
Day-to-day of the role:
Take ownership of remakes within your designated area, ensuring immediate containment to minimise risk to additional product.
Conduct thorough investigations of remakes and report initial findings to senior management within 24 hours of the issue being raised.
Document details and findings of all remakes in the Company Remake investigation system, supported by a completed remake completion check sheet.
Instigate and implement any Corrective and Preventative Actions, maintaining ownership until fully implemented.
Ensure all remakes are investigated and closed to the Quality Manager’s satisfaction.
Drive activities to improve Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD), including non-production tasks.
Provide leadership and support for Lean processes, including 5s and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and business initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to document processes clearly and keep records up-to-date.
Competency in investigating and addressing remakes to minimise product risk.
Leadership skills to drive quality, cost, and delivery improvements.
Familiarity with Lean processes, including 5s and CI activities.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
