Communications Officer - Highways
Start: May 2024 (ASAP)
Rate: £23-£25 per hour, negotiable (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Duration: Monthly rolling contract
Working pattern: Remote, Part Time, 20 hours per week
Our client is currently looking for a Communications Officer with experience of planning, delivering and evaluating communications to join them in a fully remote role on a part-time basis.
They are seeking someone with specific Highways experience.
In this role you will use media relations, commercial and social marketing techniques to deliver your communications objectives.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver communications activity, which is designed to manage reputation, deliver behaviour change or generate income
Create high quality content that can be used across several channels, including traditional media, social media, online, face-to-face engagement and internal channels
Ensure your activity has clear reputation, behaviour change and/or income-related objectives which are evaluated on a monthly basis
Implement research activities in order to identify priorities and evaluate activities
Requirements:
Experience of working in a communications or marketing environment
Experience of producing content – for press releases, articles, advertising, videos, or social media
Experience of event planning and delivery
Knowledge of digital and social media
Excellent range of verbal and written communication, including
Able to build strong relationships
