Day to Day of the role of a Health and Social Care Lecturer :
Plan and prepare comprehensive schemes of learning and engaging lesson plans with clear aims and objectives.
Deliver learning through efficient classroom and online management, ensuring curriculum relevance and high-quality learner experience.
Monitor and assess learners’ progress, maintaining up-to-date records in line with College policies.
Act as an Academic Progress Tutor/Educator, providing support and setting aspirational goals for learners.
Contribute to the overall quality processes for the programme area, including self-assessment and lesson observation schemes.
Undertake administrative duties associated with study programmes, such as conducting guidance interviews and participating in parents’ events.
Provide academic, pastoral, and personal support for learners, potentially acting as Programme Manager.
Develop partnerships with local businesses to create practical experience projects for students.
Organise and deliver workshops/bootcamps for community members.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Health and Social Care role:
A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and support learners.
Experience in planning, preparing, and delivering curriculum programmes.
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
